Trachycarpus fortunei Greensboro Achimenes a great color echo forIn 1997, we first offered Trachycarpus fortunei 'Greensboro' a hardier strain of windmill palm, seed grown from a hardy 30' specimen, growing at a church in Greensboro, NC, 2 hours northwest of Raleigh. We offered it through 2001, when due to church expansion, the original Trachycarpus 'Greensboro' palm was killed. Fortunately, we planted several seedlings here at the garden, and they are now producing seed, so we can once again, share those genetics.
